The sloth encounter does not include admission to the park

This wild encounter is a must-do while visiting Out of Africa Wildlife Park. Go inside the sloth enclosure and have a private, up-close encounter with one of the most fascinating and adorable creatures of all time - the two-toed sloth.

With this adventure you'll get to touch and feed our sloth, while learning interesting facts about the two-toed sloth, like their behavior, diet, conservation efforts and more. You'll find out just how crazy our sloth is for their favorite food-tofu! Feel free to take as many pictures and selfies with our sloth as you like. It doesn't get any closer than this!

Attendees of all ages welcome! Children 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult. Group size limited to 7 people. Each encounter lasts approximately 15 minutes. The house is not wheelchair accessible and our sloth sits up higher than visible while seated.

Need to know:
Children under four (4) will not be permitted to touch or feed the sloth.
Guests must wear close-toed shoes
Maximum of 7 people for each encounter.
Guests are required to arrive to the park 45 minutes prior to their scheduled encounter to ensure adequate time to get to sloth house.

Tortoise Feeding (General Admission not included) Stick your neck out and enjoy a leisurely snack break with one of our Sulcata tortoises. Learn all about them their fascinating natural history. This experience includes entering the tortoise habitat to feed the tortoises vegetables with tongs, touching them with the guidance of a reptile keeper and photo opportunities to commemorate the experience. (Max 10 people.)

The Jungle Hut Eatery is open for dinner. The park provides an evening ice cream social and a hearty breakfast in the morning with plenty of hot chocolate and coffee. You are welcome to explore the park on your own when the park opens at 9:30 a.m. to see all of your favorite animals in the light of day. Plus, the gift shop will open early at 9:30 a.m. Enjoy a 10% discount on all gift shop purchases.
